which brand provides the best quality for home theater systems?

BOSE, YAMAHA, ONKYO

Onkyo, then Yamaha, then, as a very distant third, Bose.

This is my opinion only, of course. This sort of thing is very subjective so make sure you give each one a good listen to see which one suits you best before parting with the cash.

There are many to choose from and deciding the best is actually the matter of your choice.. That depends on-

    1) How much is your budget?
    2) What quality you want i.e. how much MW et al?
    3) How big is your room?
    4) What layout u want? Compact or multiple speakers?
    5) How much Resolution u want?

    Now Decide..

Hardon Kardon produces some great quality receivers and speakers also. Out of the suppliers that you mentionned, I’d go with the Onkyo. I like Bose for car audio equipment but not so much for home theater.

The Bose and onkyo are both good products. What are your future plans with the system?how big is your listening area. The bose in my opinion would be better in smaller surroundings. What is the expandability of the bose in the future?Listen to them both with the type of music you like and decide from there.your ears know the sound you like.

Onkyo and Yamaha. Throw Bose out of this equation ! You have so much better options as far as hookups/ upgrades with Onkyo/ Yamaha than Bose. Remember that with Bose you can brag that your money was Blown On $hitty Equipment!!

This is another endorsement for Onkyo. Yamaha is fine. Bose is overpriced, overrated. What’s nice about Onkyo is there are many choices to fit different budgets. Even the lower priced ones have nice features for the money.

Yamaha is the best at HT over Onkyo, although Onkyo is very good.

Bose shouldn’t even be an option.

You have mixed a speaker company with 2 electronic companies.

Generally Yamaha makes the better receivers with the RX-V line being the better units. They do NOT make good speakers, but some lower-end box systems include speakers.

Bose is a speaker company that makes TONS of money selling plastic cubes with a single tweeter that hide in the room. It’s over-priced and half of what other speakers give you.

Going with a different brand of speaker would be better. Something like Polk, Klipsch, Boston, Definitive Tech, etc.

Try Marantz, onkyo, harman kardon, bose is good for their speaker not for hometheater. The best way is go to a very good store and listen all the models with an DVD that you know.

Bose shouldn’t even be on the list. Yamaha might be slightly better than Onkyo, but not by much….both brands have very high quality products.
