The JB4 MKIII is JohnBlue Audio’s top of the line bookshelf fullrange speakers. Its enclosure is crafted using 24mm thick highpressured bonded MDF. Thanks to its proprietary internal honeycomb structure, NO fibre is needed internally for damping. This allows for an extremely transparent delivery. Innovative enclosure design allows the driver to radiate sound from the enclosure edge and give it a horn effect. Musical and clean, with a tight punchy bottom end, JB4 MKIII have an uncanny ability todisappearand easily rivals the LS3/5A.

Like the Flagship JB8, Each pair of JB4 MKII is fully laminated with SOLID cherry wood veneer and handbuffed to a achieved a low sheen subtle shine.

Entire McIntosh Audio Video Home Theatre System for sale. The premier audio equipment company, McIntosh was built for true audiophiles who want only the best and can hear the “pin drop” differences between systems. This McIntosh — Velodyne – Bose system was custom-built for a home theatre system…we purchased the house and the system came with it. We have since moved, so system needs a good home.

This video takes you on a tour of the system, as it plays songs from Yes, Owl City, and Shantala. Pardon my little Kodak camera…it is all I have for making video.

I have had this system since 1994 when it was sold along with the home we bought (from the original owner of this equipment). It was part of a huge home theater system. I’ll always remember when the owner fired it up for us by putting on the movie, “Top Gun” and we heard Kenny Loggins singing “Danger Zone” while jet fighters flew over our heads and pounded into the floor and our chests from the 18 inch Velodyne subwoofers…we were so impressed we bought the house!

The system was kept in immaculate condition behind glass in the home theatre until we moved. At that time, I knew nothing about McIntosh, and had no idea it was so valuable (I’m not a real audiophile, alas!) We ended up rarely using the home theatre, and boxed the system up when we moved from that house in 2004. It’s been in heated storage ever since. We had it all checked out a year ago and everything got a clean bill of health.

All pieces are in excellent shape and immaculate…a couple of tiny scratches on a couple cases…the faceplates look like new. One of the Velodyne subs has a fair-sized scratch in the wood cabinet on top and some minor staining around two edges, all of which could be removed with sanding and refinishing the top.

My system includes the original manuals in plastic covers.

The all-new Reference 5LS loudspeaker is the culmination of everything Anthony Gallo has learned during a lifetime of speaker design.

At the cornerstone of the Reference 5LS’ standards-setting performance is our patented CDT II™ tweeter, whose power-handling, off-axis response and efficiency approach the textbook definition of ideal. Midrange drivers employ Gallo’s spherical enclosure technology, which virtually eliminates enclosure resonance and diffraction while enabling a broad 300-degree dispersion. The 5LS is also the world’s first speaker to use multiple CDT II™ tweeters. To form the line array, Gallo deploys seven CDT II™s and eight 4″ carbon fiber midrange drivers, each housed in its own 5″ spherical enclosure.

Although most line sources must horizontally offset their various drivers, the Reference 5LS alternates tweeter cylinders with midrange spheres, one atop the other, in perfect vertical alignment. As a result, the phase and dispersion problems caused by driver offset are entirely eliminated. Twelve aluminum, rear-firing 4″ subwoofer drivers equal the surface area of a 15″ driver, but reproduce bass with a speed and transparency that no large driver can approach. The tubular stainless steel bass enclosure is stuffed with Gallo’s patented S2 Technology, which further enhances the quality and quantity of low-frequency output.

Capable of being driven by a single, capable amplifier, the 5LS offers the options of bi- or tri-wiring, as well as bi- or tri-amping. Although able to handle massive power, the crossover-free design and high efficiency of both the CDT II™ tweeters and carbon-fiber midrange drivers are perfect matches for low-powered, high-performance amplifiers. The first-order low-pass filter used for the bass drivers (the ONLY crossover employed in the 5LS!) can be bypassed, enabling the LF enclosure to be driven from the LFE output of a processor, or from a separate amplifier. Gallo’s (optional) Reference SA amplifier, which features volume, phase and crossover adjustments, is ideal for this application, as the speaker can be placed for optimal imaging and soundstaging performance and then fine-tuned for bass using the SA’s control facilities.
